Your Oberhof
I spent most of my youth in Oberhof with many fond memories.
What was your sporting career like?
- Started cross-country skiing at the age of 6
- from 1973 attendance at the sports school (KJS) in Zella-Mehlis
- from 1979 member of the GDR national cross-country skiing team
- 1987 End of sporting career
Who is your role model?
My sporting role models were Gerhard Grimmer and Sigrun Krauße (Filbrich).
What was the most emotional moment of your sporting career?
My most emotional moment was winning the 1980 Olympics.
What was the biggest sporting disappointment for you?
Not being nominated for the 1985 World Championships.
What are your goals for the future?
I hope that my family stays healthy!
