Your Oberhof
Even though I don't live in Oberhof, Oberhof is a piece of home. I have part of my sporting roots here and know every inch of the toboggan run. Without Oberhof, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

What was your sporting career like?
I started luge at the age of 10 after a school competition in Ilmenau.
At the age of 13, I moved to Oberhof to the sports high school.
After graduating from high school in 2010, I switched to the "big" group at Grenzadler.
In 2013, I had my first World Cup appearance.
Since 2014 I have been part of the World Cup team.
What was the most emotional moment of your sporting career?
2015 - unexpected victory at the European Championships in Sochi
2016 - defeat at the World Championships in Berchtesgaden
2018 - winning the silver medal in Pyeongchang
What was the biggest sporting disappointment for you?
The defeat in the individual race at the World Championships in Berchtesgaden.
What are your goals for the future?
To find my way back into the team and compete again at the Olympic Games. I would like to celebrate my grand finale at the home World Championships in Oberhof in 2023.
... because here sport becomes a part of your life.
