I am currently working as a national coach for luge at the sports high school in Oberhof. When time permits, I am also on the road myself from time to time as a recreational athlete with the sled or skeleton.

I associate Oberhof with many wonderful years of training in rain, snow and sunshine with great training mates and friends, whether in the hall, on the sports field, in the forest or on the track.

2001 Change of sport from luge to skeleton

What was the most emotional moment of your sporting career?
The most emotional moment was the first World Cup victory in Whistler 2009. It was a night race & pre-event of the Winter Olympics.
What was the biggest sporting disappointment for you?
The 13th place at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
What are your goals for the future?
I would like to use the experience I have gained in my own sporting career to accompany ambitious young athletes on their way.
