The New Palace in Arnstadt - today the Palace Museum - was commissioned between 1729 and 1734 by Prince Günther I of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen as a palace for his wife Elisabeth Albertine.
The castle museum houses the unique doll city "Mon plaisir". In other lovingly restored rooms of the castle museum you will find paintings, porcelain and other changing exhibitions. Wander through time and space in magnificent rooms. Experience how the princes and their entourage lived and what their passions were. A gem of Thuringian palace culture.
