Beschreibung
From your starting point, the Oberhof Information, the tour leads in the direction of the traffic circle. A striking feature here is the obelisk, which was once erected for the the newly built road. From here, follow wonderful kilometers of hiking through the Thuringian Forest. A route that is not too easy, but also not too tiring. Always a break, enjoy the view.
The hiking tour is varied and touches several distinctive routes in the region around Oberhof. The raft ditch on which in old times the tree trunks were rafted down into the valley. Down into the valley, the Beerbergweg and last but not least the Rennsteig. Supplemented again and again by contemplative resting places. So it is the hiker's desire. A stop at the Rennsteig Garden is a must (open May to October). A jewel of floral rarities from all over the countries, with wonderful views. The route is well partly spacious, partly natural. Just let the forest and slow down. From March to October, it's worth stopping at the Rennsteig Garden in Oberhof. Wonderful views, enchanting plants and a piece of homemade cake.
