Circular hike "Veilchenbrunnen"

Walk from the Oberhof information in the direction of the sports facilities, shortly after the Waldschlösschen turn left in the direction of "Harzwald" - from here the longest stretch of the trail leads you directly through the forest. The still young sycamore maple avenue testifies to the constant forest conversion, which is in the middle of the process and should lead to strengthen the forests for the future. Through diversity of species, especially through the reforestation of original tree species and mixed forests, provisions will be made for the next generations in the years to come.

The first break can soon be taken at Stein 16. Shortly thereafter, the Schützenbergmoor offers a change of scenery; a short detour along the Moor-Rundweg is worthwhile. Continue following your hiking trail now in the direction of the Violet Fountain. This small typical Thuringian spring fountain is especially lovingly designed. Shortly after, you will reach the restaurant of the same name, "Veilchenbrunnen".

After refreshment in the "Veilchenbrunnen" you continue hiking on the Rhön-Rennsteig-Weg. These are its last kilometers to the destination Oberhof. The supra-regional Rhön-Rennsteig hiking trail connects Oberhof in the Thuringian Forest with the Wasserkuppe in the Hessian Rhön.

At the end of the Rhön-Rennsteig hiking trail, you will arrive back in the local area of Oberhof. Perhaps you will reward yourself with a delicious ice cream at Haus Flora or one of the following cafés in Zellaer Straße.
