The Oberhof luge and bobsleigh track is the venue for international luge and skeleton competitions as well as a training centre for professional luge, skeleton and bobsleigh athletes. Holidaymakers can also gain particularly exciting insights into the respective sports during the training times of the top athletes or simply sit in the bobsleigh themselves and experience the feeling live.

Description
The Oberhof luge and bobsleigh track was inaugurated back in 1971 as the world's second artificially iced ice track. In the meantime, it has been rebuilt several times and today has a total length of 1,354.5 metres. With a difference in altitude of almost 100 metres, a total of 15 curves are negotiated.

Bobsleigh rides, ice tubing & ice rafting also for guests
Guests can also enjoy the rapid descent with plenty of thrills on Oberhof's racing sledge & bobsleigh run. During the winter months, guests ride in the ice rafting boat with nine other passengers, alone in the ice tube or with four people in the original four-person bobsleigh. Experienced bobsleigh pilots steer skilfully and safely through the track. In summer, the guest rides take place in a summer bobsleigh on wheels.
