From Oberhof-Information to Tambacher Straße in the direction of Grenzadler, left in the direction of Sporthotel, right past the Sportgymnasium into the forest, main hiking trail in the direction of Schanzenbaude / Grenzadler, at the Schanzenbaude left down onto the hiking trail in the direction of Schanzen, follow the trail until the next turn, left on the ascent above the Schanzen towers, follow the trail in the direction of the Violet Fountain, at the crossroads short descent to the restaurant, left follow the Rennsteig-Dolmar-Weg (slope trail) to the traffic circle, at the forestry workers' memorial left back to Oberhof.
