Description
The LOTTO Thuringia ARENA at the Rennsteig in Oberhof
The LOTTO Thüringen ARENA am Rennsteig is not only a pure biathlon stadium, but can also be used as a venue for major events. The best-known event is, of course, the annual Biathlon World Cup. The Tour de Ski has also made a stop in Oberhof. The major summer biathlon competitions and many smaller biathlon and cross-country skiing competitions are held here regularly.
The LOTTO Thüringen ARENA on the Rennsteig offers extensive training conditions for the resident training groups of the Oberhof Olympic Training Centre. The directly connected "roller tracks" run right through the Thuringian Forest.
But even away from the big winter competitions and the biathlon, the LOTTO Thüringen ARENA am Rennsteig regularly hosts events. The Thuringian Forest Company Run is already an integral part of the annual calendar.
The attached Rennsteighaus serves as a press centre and control centre during the Biathlon World Cup. During the year, it is especially designed as a rest stop for holidaymakers and day visitors such as skiers, hikers or mountain bikers. Modern shower and changing rooms as well as a generously designed lounge with a view of the arena allow Rennsteig lovers to take a break. As an information point of the Oberhof Information, residents and guests can inform themselves about the surroundings and the active offers of the Oberhof holiday region.
