LOTTO Thüringen SCHANZENANLAGE in Kanzlersgrund
The ski jump in Kanzlersgrund (large ski jump), which originally dates back to 1961, was first covered with mats in 1979. In the years 1984 to 1987, another hill was added as a normal hill (70-metre hill). In 2013 and 2014, the entire ski jump complex at Kanzlersgrund was extensively renovated. The normal hill (K90) was demolished and completely rebuilt. It received a modern inrun track made of ceramic material that can be cooled in winter and then has an ice track. In addition, the runs of both hills were connected to form an inrun slope. All the jumps are covered with mats, which allows them to be used all year round. There is also a double chair lift, which has been in operation since 2015.

In 1961 the first ski jump was built in the Kanzlersgrund (large ski jump) and in 1979 the first mats were laid for summer operation. In the years 1984 to 1987, the construction of another ski jump followed, as a normal ski jump (70-metre ski jump). From 2013 to 2015, the Kanzlersgrund ski jump was extensively renovated.
The "small" normal hill (K90) was demolished and completely rebuilt. A ceramic run-up, which can be cooled in winter and then has an ice track, was installed. The outlets of both ski jumps were connected to form an uphill slope. The ski jump facility at Kanzlersgrund can be used all year round because it is covered with mats.
Top athletes and young talents train on the Kanzlersgrund hills almost every day, which is also an exciting spectacle for holidaymakers and locals. You can find out about the training times at the ski jumps in the Oberhofer Tagespost or on the website of the Zweckverband Thüringer Wintersportzentrum.
