Description
From 1935 to 1938, the Lütschetal Dam was built near the municipality of Frankenhain. At that time it was intended as a supplier of lime-warm water for the Reichsbahn, and today it is a beautiful and idyllic destination for excursions. 1,000 metres long and up to 300 metres wide, the reservoir stretches behind the 22-metre-high dam wall and offers wonderful walks around the lake and through the nature of the Thuringian Forest. The resident campsite is a popular attraction for water sports enthusiasts, who can fully pursue their hobby here.
Today, with its campsite, it is a true Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts. Whether rowing, paddling, diving or swimming, the Lütschetalsperre offers a wealth of activities for your fun in the cold wet.Leisure facilities - partly on the grounds of the campsite:
