Your Oberhof
I associate my school days, my youth, biathlon,
nature and now my family with Oberhof.
What was your sporting career like?
I had my beginnings with the cross-country skiers.
At the age of 12, I switched to biathlon and went to school in Oberhof.
This was followed by 7 fantastic years at the sports high school.
After graduating from high school, I switched to the pros in the Bundeswehr sports support group.

Who are your role models?
Both my grandfathers.
What was the most emotional moment of your sporting career?
Winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Russia. The moments with the team and experiencing the medal ceremony.
What was the biggest sporting disappointment for you?
There are always sporting disappointments. So far I have been spared any big disappointments.
What are your goals for the future?
To be able to finish my sporting career uninjured and of my own free will. After that, to complete my coaching studies and coach young athletes.
