Description
Description round walk Schlossbergkanzel
The circular walk starts centrally in Oberhof, at the Tourist Information. From there you walk in the direction of "Panorama Hotel", through the Dr.-Theo-Neubauer street, in the direction of "Nordknoten" Oberhof. Here you leave the village directly onto the forest path in the direction of the Lütschetal dam. The hiking trail leads you past the Breitebornsteich and the Schloßbergkanzel.
This is also the godfather of the circular hiking trail. Your hike leads you over well-built hiking trails, which are often firmly gravelled. Here and there the path leads over near-natural parts. The highest point offers a wonderful view to the Lütschetalsperre. You hike around the Lärchenkopf and are then already on the way back to Oberhof. At the Lärchenkopf, the first larches were planted as experimental trees in the Thuringian Forest around 1740.
A comfortable to moderately difficult hike without difficult obstacles, recommended as a nice half-day tour. With children the round hike near Oberhof is recommended, but not necessarily suitable for strollers.
