Your Oberhof

37 years of my life connect me with Oberhof. At the age of 14, I moved from Sonneberg to Oberhof to attend the sports school. There have never been better training opportunities for me and my athletic development than here in Oberhof.

Today, Oberhof is the centre of my work where I plan and accompany young athletes on their professional path during their sporting career.

What was your sporting career like?

At the age of 6, I trained in a swimming club, and at 9, I got into luge through a friend. At the age of 14, I was delegated to the children's and youth sports school in Oberhof.

From 1992 to 2008, I was in the sports support group of the German Armed Forces in Oberhof.

Since 2010 - now I have been working at the Olympic Training Centre Thuringia in Oberhof as a career advisor.
